Exciting propositions for a linguistic turn in critical historiography about/in Mizoram and the NE. I thought finer theoretical precision would have helped your reader. For instance, the use of 'discourse' seemed to fluctuate where you claim that, "discourse failed to generate internal colonization within the North east India," and follow it with the need to be "questioned and debated in discourse." And then, to invoke Foucault in the same breath with a Marxian analysis (Development, etc) fuddles precision in the critical project. Would theoretics such as epistemic violence(Spivak), symbolic violence(Bourdieu), help frame the discursive truth regimes in finer critical light? I hope younger academics will find much to ruminate on from your creative and critical pieces.
Best.
